DFA working office hotlines

I think I need to write about this because when I Google some Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) phone hotlines and some details for Passport applications. For I need to ask about requirements and appointment details. I am routed to an older blog posts and most of the phone numbers they included in the post were all not working.

I collected all the numbers and started phoning all of them because I wanted to contact DFA Pampanga for our family Passport renewal. Some of the numbers were really not working at all and some were working but no one answered my call. I am patiently dialing all of them until I got one. Those DFA employees whom I spoke with gave numbers until I got DFA Pampanga Regional Office.

If you are going to renew your Passport, check this link: http://passport.com.ph/info/requirements/for/renewal (Some requirements varies, depending on you Passport renewal situation) | On my situation, We just have to bring valid IDs and our soon-to-expire Passport.

In DFA PAMPANGA, you don’t need to set an appointment. They entertain walk-in applicants, so, better go there earlier to finish your application early.

2016 UPDATE:

For all the people who will apply or renew their passports at DFA Pampanga. The site is no longer accepting walk-ins. It is now by appointment. You can book an appointment through on-line, phone call or e-mail. If you want to secure an appointment in person, you have to be there as early as possible to get an appointment date which you will return on your scheduled date.

My husband tried to book an appointment through on-line and e-mail. Though it took awhile before he got an appointment through e-mail. He made an appointment last June 2016  and he was scheduled October and the soonest was September. My advice is, If you urgently need a passport get it now and for the passport renewals, do not wait until your passport reach it’s remaining six months validity. Make an appointment and calculate it from the validity of your passport (use mathematics and common sense on this). Remember, DFA on renew a passport when it reached it’s remaining six months validity.

On the other hand, If the applicant is a senior, infant or pregnant woman he/she can apply as a walk-in but they only accommodate such numbers of applicants for the day. Arrive early and finish in no time.

  1. thank you for sharing this.. i process my passport in DFA Cebu. No appointment, you just have to be in the office at 3AM just to get the line for numbering. Some slept over in DFA lobby. I have done my processing for almost a day because i came at 5AM just to get the number and i got number 161. They only accommodate 300 to 400 applicants in a day.

      I am very sure na walang appointment sa DFA Pampangga. My tip is to go there as early as you can like 5 or 6am so you can have number. I went there twice and pumila rin ako. I went there around 7am and I got applicant #98.

      As far as I know 6 months before nung expiration ang nirerenew. You can call on their hotline to further check if it is allowed to renew years before the expiration date. :) or if you have any concerns or reasons of why you need to renew it ahead of time, you may call them. :)

      I am not sure if DFA in Robinson Starmills is issuing OEC, it is best to call on their hotline number which I posted here. On the other hand, I checked some online guidelines, it stated that you can go at DFA San Fernando Pampangga

  7. san po sa san fernando pampanga yung agency ng dfa,saka ask ko lang po kung ano yung mga kailangan sa pag kuha ng passport,first time ko lang po kasi kukuha,salamat po.

      Sa may Robinson’s starmills 2nd floor, San Fernando Pampanga.

      Requirements:

      NSO birth certificate
      Valid ids make sure to bring two (2) valid ids.
      If you are a minor you need your parent’s valid passport and marriage certificate if needed.

      You can call on their hotline if you want to double check other requirements if you are a minor but if not, you just have to bring, valid ids and birth cert.

      • Kung minor ka kailangan kasi ng parent or guardian companion so, you need to present your parent’s valid passport and kailangan kasama mo rin yung parent or guardian mo. If your travel companion is not your parents you I am sure may mga additional requirements pa sila. In that case, you need to call on their hotline which I posted.

      Hindi pwede na NSO lang kasi requirements din ang (2) two valid i.ds.
      >NSO birth certificate
      >(2) two valid ids
      These requirements applies for those 18 and above. For below 18 (minor age) there’s an additional requirements. :)

  10. same here please do advise me isa lng id q i lost it nung nasalisi gang aq.. but all of those supporting docu meron aq..pwde na kaya un?

      Here are the list of ids you can bring:

      LIST OF ACCEPTABLE IDS (At least 1 of the following):

      Government-issued picture IDs such as the following:
      Digitized SSS ID
      Driver’s License
      GSIS E-card
      PRC ID
      IBP ID
      OWWA ID
      Digitized BIR ID
      Senior Citizen’s ID
      Other acceptable picture IDs such as the following:
      Old College ID
      Alumni ID
      Old Employment IDs

      LIST OF SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS (At least 3 of the following):

      Voter’s ID
      NSO Marriage Contract
      Land Title
      Seaman’s Book
      Elementary or High School Form 137 or Transcript of Records with readable dry seal
      Government Service Record
      NBI Clearance
      Police Clearance
      Barangay Clearance
      Old documents issued at least one year prior to date of application that show correct name, date and place of birth, picture and signature of applicant such as the following:
      NSO Birth Certificate of child / children
      SSS-E1 Form or Microfilmed Copy of SSS-E1 Form

        Yes I think okay na yan. You can check everything on my previous comment reply. Don’t forget to bring your birth certificate with your correct details. Check your name if it is all correct because it they will follow the name indicated on your birth certificate.

      I don’t know if they offer red ribbons for NSO and NBI. I know someone, she got her red ribbon at DFA Manila. To be sure, you can call at their hotline which I posted. They can answer you directly. I hope I helped you.

      New applicant ka ba? Kung mali yung middle initial mo letter or misspelling kailangan mong ipa-correct sa NSO then nun mo ka pa lang makakakuha ng passport.

  16. Hi ask ko Lang po, ano ano exact requirements ang bibitbitin ko para sa passport ng Anak ko minor, may consent letter na kami at nag punta kami sa dswd exempted daw kami Dahil mother ako. Ano ano exact requirements ang dadalhin ko para sa passport ng Anak ko. At ano yung dapat Kung dalhin para sa sarili ko na ipakita sa dfa? Aside from valid passport pwede ba ang ID Lang po? Di pa naman kasi kami mag travel kailangan ko Lang muna mag secure ng passport Nya? Thanks need reply po.

    • And legally married ako, but never ko ginamit ang surname ng husband ko kasi maaga pa Lang nag hiwalay na kami. Ang Anak ko ay yun ang gamit Nya sa father. Ask ko Lang since kukunan ko passport ang Anak ko na ang gamit Nya is name ng husband ko at may passport ako na di ko ginamit ang surname ng asawa.. Hindi ba Ito maging complicated pag Ito ang bigay ko na valid passport? Please need an answer marami ng salamat po.

        As far as I know, you need to bring your -your valid passport,
        -marriage contract,
        -your Valid ids if ever na hanapin since iba yung surname na gamit mo sa anak mo and
        -your daughter/son’s birth certificate.

        Hindi mo talaga kailangan ng form or consent from DSWD kasi parent ka nung minor, gumagamit lang ng travel consent if the minor is travelling with a guardian (not his/her parents).

  17. Hi, married po ako but never Ko ginamit name ng asawa Ko. Ang passport Ko is name Ko nong pagkadaga Ko at Lahat ng papers Ko. May one Ko Anak sa asawA Ko gamt Nya name. Minor ang Anak Ko. Gusto Ko na sya kunan ng passport may appointment kami by Thursday worried Lang ako… May conflict ba sa pag kuha ng passport ng Anak Ko na gamt Nya sa birth cert Nya ay surname ng AMA Nya at ako sa passport Ko is nong pagkadalaga Ko? Need help and answe pleas :-) Salamanca

      I think wala naman problem dun but yung need additional documents. You can further call on their hotline for the requirements. Kung married naman kayo you can bring your marriage contract and birth cert ng anak mo. But if you do not have a marriage contract you have to call about this inquiry. Thank you! I hope this helped.

        Mayron po ako marriage contract, voters ID, alumin ID, Gun license, Claud passport, birth certificate ko po, mayron po along form 137 from college, valid ID where I work before I got 3 atleast. Nbi clearance and maybe they want me to bring my yearbook na din. Pili Lang sila ano gusto Nila makita… Ang welling din ako ipakita Lahat no problem.. Lol and sa anak ko birth certificate Nya, and report card Nya, grades I to IV Nya na school ID, and BAptismalcertificates. Thank you po sa reply it really helps me a lot. Makes me feel relieved when you reply to me…

        I think you can bring 2 valid ids, marriage contract, your passport and your child’s birth certificate. I only based this requirements when my friend get her daughter a passport she uses her maiden name while her child use her husband’s surname. If you want to be sure you can call on their hotline to reconfirm all the details you need to bring. You have to bring your child with you at DFA for picture and appearance. I hope this helped you. :)

    I would like to let u know that my son and I went to our passport appointment today. It’s my first to be be at DFA Alabang. And I must say its a nice place there not so many people. The dfa was nice and clean, the staff was all smiling friendly and accommodating. Mine was done for less than 20 minutes. They only got xerox of my passport front and back, my son’s birth cert, xerox copy of his ID from school and done, and then the picture. And will be deliver in my house for 10 working days. I have share my experience today because I feel like I have to.. I have been asking many questions and it helps me a lot.

    A pleasant day to you and all your company. I mail to you to ask a kind consideration. Because its really important matter.
    I been in Pampanga in a few months only then apply to manila agency for abroad. we spent in manila in a 2 weeks for just to apply.
    Then their was a reply to my application for welder. on September 12. I been try to work the requirements they want. Its my chances,, because all requirements well expired 22 of September. and they want me to arrived on 25 on September to work and orientation.
    This is the break I want for my family and to have a better tomorrow for my 2 kids who are in school.This is my chances and urgent.       First, I am not affiliated to any company especially DFA. I just blogged the hotline numbers and help as far as I know. Regarding to the matter that you are concerned about, I recommend that you should go personally to DFA and address your concerns since your visa will expire in 2 days. I don’t know your concern because as you have said, you emailed it and I don’t have DFA’s email addresses. Commonly, they did not response through emails but through phone calls, they do. I understand that you wanted to work abroad because every Filipino dreamed about better lives for their families. I hope that can solve this problem immediately and have a safe trip. You have to go to DFA personally.

  22. Ayiiee ang dami nang comment :D before ung binasa koto almost wala pa ata.
    Kumuha ako last August ata. i forgot the date. pero ung kukuha sa DFA pampanga.

    1st Agahan po natin. kc pila dun. cguro mas magnda mga 4am-5am andun na kayu. para mas mauna kayu sa pilahan.
    2nd mga 9am ata pwedi ng pumxok. kahit na 10am pa ung mall.
    kc goverment nman un. tpos madali lng process nila.

      Hre are what your friend needs for his/her Lost Passport:

      Please have all your original documents and IDs photocopied before going to DFA on your appointment date.

      GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

      Personal appearance
      Confirmed appointment
      No need to submit a passport size photo
      Submit same documents required for first time passport applicants.
      ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

      In case passport was lost and cannot be found:

      Submit Notarized Affidavit of Loss (with detailed explanation on when, where and how passport got lost).
      If the lost passport is still valid, submit Police Report.
      Photocopy of first page of lost passport (if available)
      Please take note that there will be a 15-day clearing period prior to the processing of application for replacement of a lost valid passport.

      In case passport was already declared lost by the applicant but eventually was found and returned to him/her:

      Submit Notarized Affidavit of Retrieval (with detailed explanation on when, where and how passport was found)
      Original and photocopy of first and last page of passport
      In case of mutilated or damaged passports:

      You have to wear a casual attire. Polo Shirt, shirt, pants. You may wear shoes to be presentable but it will not be seen on your photo. hehe! just to be sure you are presentable on the day you apply for your Passport. :)

    I was wondering if you have any idea if there is a separate line for young applicants (i.e. Babies). I will apply for a passport for my 1yo baby and I will renew my passport as well. You mentioned we have to be there early even if they would officially open at 10am. We live more than 2hrs away from Pampanga so it would be hard to go there very early, and especially hard since I would have my baby with me (Even if I will bring someone along to help me with her). I’m just concerned because of the waiting time. I hope you could help me with this. Thank you in advance.

      Yes pwede naman. Sabihin mo lang na student id lang meron ka. If you have any supporting documents you can bring those too. Just re-read my past answered comments. :)

  30. Hi po ask ko lang if makukuha ko pa passport ko, kasi narelease sya nun dec 2012 and until now d ko pa nakukuha,, panu po kaya un balak ko kunin na sya,, almost 9months na sya dun,,,

      Hindi mo na makukuha yung passport mo. 60 days lang. After nun, destroyed na yung document. At any Gov’t office like NSO they only allow 60 days to claim your requested documents.

      • Kung may error yung baptismal mo, ok lang na hindi mo na isama, marami ka namang supporting documents. At least one valid id pwede na if isa lang valid id mo, nun mo lang need ng any supporting documents.

        Wala naman expiry date ang original NSO birth certificate. As long as, ang ippresent mo sa DFA is the original NSO birth certificate.

        If readable naman yung name mo okay lang yun. If not, kailangan mong magpagawa ulit. Just be sure it is readable, ipabasa mo sa ibang tao and if nababasa naman nila yung name mo na nakasulat, okay siya. Kasi pag hindi, medyo mahaba yung process nun.

    • Yes, ganun talaga ang NSO Birth Certificate. Hindi nagiiba ang original copy. You must judge by yourself if readable yung birth certificate mo, you can ask others if nababasa rin nila yung name na naka sulat. If nababasa naman, you can push through on applying.

      Sa DFA may application form and you can browse online too. If sa DFA Pampanga no appointment basta punta ka lang dun while sa DFA Manila, you have too make an appointment.

      I am not a government employee too. You have to bring at least one valid id, birth certificate and applicant form (you can get a form at the office on the day you will going to apply for your passport.)

      Hindi tatanggapin ng DFA ang affidavit if may incorrect spelling sa birth certificate mo. You have to go to your local civil registrar kung saan ka pinarehistro at ipacorrect mo yung middle initial mo.

      Yung civil registrar ang magsasabi sayo ng instructions kung ano gagawin mo.

      I am not sure about it. You better call on their hotline and ask them because all of the people whom I met at DFA Pampanga were residing in region 3. :)

      • Hindi ko sure kung pwede. Tawag ka na lang sa hotline nila. Hindi ko kasi alam yung policy nila about dyan, kung strictly region 3 lang ang isserve nila.

  47. good pm po,…meron po nagtext skin n dfa,..nagparenew po ako ng passport nun oct. 02 at dapat ay sa oct 29 at kanina po ay ndi pa daw marerelease ang passport ko,..ei,..kailangan ko n po,..dahil s visa ko po,.papuntang saudi?

      Hindi ko sure kung pwede kasi regional office yun. You can call on their hotline to be sure. Sa DFA Pampanga hindi na kailangan ng appointment but if sa DFA Manila, you need to set an appointment.

Hi marah hir.,nabasa ko mga previous comments.i was about to renew my passport,bukas ang appointment ko sa dfa pampanga pero accidentally my nangyri regading sa appointment form ko.and wala na akong time kun mgseset pa ako ng ibang appointment.ok po ba weekdays kahit wlang appointment?my nkapagsbi skn hnd cla nagpa appointment kaso saturday cla ngpunta. Ang sure po b na hnd na kelangan ng clearance for travel from dswd kung ako na mother nya ang kasama.thanks

      Hindi naman kailangan mag set ng appointment sa DFA Pampanga. You can go there anytime monday to saturday. If you are the mother you don’t need any DSWD clearance.

  51. Hi, glad i found your blog. May problem kase sa e passport ko wrong date of birth. Dapat Nov. pero nalagay ay Dec. so magkakaroon ako ng inconsistency sa ibang documenst ko, Sabi sa akin ng Phil Embassy in South Africa kung saan ako nag apply, punta daw ako DFA pag uwi ko on Dec. If u know any idea regarding this it will be a great help. Worried kase ako pag dating ko sa NAIA immigration makita yun old passport ko kung saan nakatatak yun last exit ko di pareho ng date of birth sa recent passport ko, Thanks a lot in advance sa reply.

      I can advice you to call on their hotline which I posted and asked them if paano ang procedure nun.

      If sa birth certificate yung mali, i think you have to correct it at NSO. If sa NSO ka magpapacorrect, it takes 3-5mons. Kung typographical error naman and DFA’s fault naman, I think you can ask them to change it when you renew your passport. Just present your NSO birth certificate na may correct info. Dun kasi sila nagba-base ng lahat ng information na iinput sa passport mo. I hope this one help. :)

      May courtesy lane ang mga senior citizens natin. I just don’t know if you can have the same applicant number. Just ask the OIC if you can go with your mother. Pwede naman mapakiusapan yun and if may rule naman na pwede ang may kasama, there will be no problem at all. :)

    • It means, no appointment needed. You just have to go there and get an application form. Sa OIC ka makakakuha ng form ang applicant number kasi may pila dun. You have to approach the officer and ask them. :)

      May mga requirements para sa ganyan na case and you need like parents consent to travel with you sibling as your guardian. Maraming requirements for this. If OFWs yung parents mo or other reasons kung nasaan yung parents mo.

      Yung mga nasa region 3 na provinces can be entertained not prioritized. Ang napprioritized lang ay yung mga senior and infants. I think you need to call if maeentertain ka nila kasi na icconsider naman depending on the reason. Wala bang regional office near you?

      Only Infants and Senior Citizens are included in the courtesy lane. If you are the parent yun lang ang dadalhin. Just to make sure, bring your marriage contract kasi minsan hinahanap din. Depende sa officer na matatapatan.

      Yes okay na yan. Basta bring all original documents especially your NSO BC. Check you name if it is correct sa BC kasi dun lang naman nagkakaroon ng conflict. :)

      Yes pwede naman yun. Kung may ibang mga supporting ids pa sya pwede na rin dalhin yun. :) Ang mahalaga at least 1 id and NSO birth cert plus the application form.

      Sorry, Hindi ko alam yung itsura ng digitized BIR id but I think it is similar to LTO license. With hologram and qr code para maging machine readable yung mga legal IDs natin :)

      I think you need, your marriage contract and since you are married to a foreign national, you need to bring other requirements.         (this are my immediate advice to you) You should go to DFA office and change your name to your maiden name. There will be additional requirements to produce such as legal papers from your annulment and relay to them if you are annuled or you still have an ongoing annulment process. :) you can call on their hotline first before going to the office so that you can bring all the requirements. :)

      If renewal, at least one valid id and your passport that you’re going to renew. :) you don’t need your birth cert unless there is an error in your passport. :)

      Yes pwede ka nang kumuha kasi may TIN ka naman basta dala mo yung id mo mismo and your postal id as your supporting proof of identification. You have to bring your NSO birth certificate.

      • If you are still in school you can use your school id or 21 ka na baka may voter’s id ka or anything. Hindi talaga tinatanggap ang postal id kasi nageexpire yun i think 6 mons or one year lang yun.

      At least one valid id (Government issued id) ang kailangan. Yung sss id ok yun and yung sa asawa mo i don’t know if they accept it. Kahit voter’s id wala kayo? Yun lang actually ang valid id ko nung kumuha ako ng passport. Yung sa rush 14 working days usually. 1200PhP

      Ang alam ko hindi nila inaaccept pag may error sa NSO BC. Especially sa name. Pag ganun ang case, pinaco-correct yun sa NSO. If naka annotate na at nacorrect na yung error, inalalagay lang yung correction sa baba.

      Since may annotation na yun BC mo, ireconfirm mo or double check mo kung na-correct na yung BC kasi may annotation na sa baba.

      • If you are under 18 pr still in school. Your id must be a valid based on the school year you are in. If you have the philhealth id you can bring it as for your supporting document.

      Based on what they told me, yes 14 working days. I don’t know if mabibilisan yun or maybe case to case basis. It depends on your reason why you want it to be done fast. And they might require more documents.

      You can call on their hotline and tell them your concerns. Sometimes, tapos na yung passport much earlier than the release date on your stub.

    good evening. new applicant po ako for passport, pupunta po ako tomorow sa dfa robinsons starmills pampanga and i dont have an application form yet and besides wala po akong appointment pwede po kaya walk-in dun and may form kaya na ibinibigay dun(application form). isa pa pong problema wala pa po yung ID card na voters id ko just a voters certification na may picture ko and thumb mark, i-honor po kaya nila yun. i also have nbi clearance, e-1 form ng sss, and NSO BC yun lamang po. i’m from talavera, nueva ecija.

      If you have time and if malapit ka sa DFA, pumunta ka na lang para mas maklaro yung details ng passports niyo and ask them if ma-rerefund pa yung pera na dinagdag for rush kasi unfair naman di ba?

      Hindi ko kasi masasagot yung questions mo kasi wala naman ako sa DFA to say anything on their behalf.

      Nagbibigay ang DFA ng extension. Dalin mo lang yung Plane ticket mo an passport with visa or anything and other documents that may need. :)

      Hindi ko alam sa ganyan case if kailangan magpa-appointment. It is best to go at DFA Manila. Alam ko yunang main. So, they do almost all the processing there. If dun ka pupunta by appointment sila.

      Hindi ako sure if nagre-red ribbon sila. Sa DFA Manila dun kami nagpa red ribbon. You can call their hotline. Maraming nag iinquire but just be patient sa pag tawag they can answer all your questions for sure.

      You have 60 days to claim it. Sasabihin naman or may post naman sa DFA. Or when yoi get there you can ask specific questions to the officer-in-charge on that day. :)

      Basta less than six months ang passport mo pwedeng irenew. I think you need your plane ticket and other documents to prove that you have an incoming flight and your passport is expiring in less than six months. Yun.
