Panini Machine

Last night, we are so busy at work and I finished all my chores around 4 a.m. which rarely happened. I never had a chance to take a sit and eat my food. All I need is to finish everything because I don’t wanna hear anything from the morning shift (because they really like to complain about petty stuff). I hate whiners. I hate grumpy faces in the morning. Well, everything changed this morning as I am the one who had a grumpy face and I am just there standing and taking/making orders.

I lost myself while cleaning the Panini machine. The burned plate which I need to scrape, wash. dry and put a release (non-stick solution) and turn it on. I was so tired an all my energy were drained since I had my vaccines the other day. I thought, everything will be okay. I thought the orders will slow down a bit around 1 or 2 a.m. but I was wrong.

Plus, there is only two people who are on duty. Can you think of a way to pull everything in one night with just to people? Tell me, You need to clean two showcases (donut showcase), clean and stock everything at the sandwich bar, clean all the three counters plus the brewers and machines, clean the dining area and washrooms, make a soup and throw and clean all the expired goods. clean the freaking panini machine and do the dishes, stock up/ refill everything bit of thing. Tell me. Can two people do this? WHILE SERVING CUSTOMERS EVERY MINUTE. How can you able to finish? Then what? Morning shift will complain, “why you didn’t do this? Why you didn’t do that?” Are they still thinking? That there are only two people who works at midnight shift and receiving a salary SAME RATE with them and some people have bigger than us.

I don’t want to write this but I really lost myself with that freaking Panini machine and suddenly I realize, everything is unfair here. I thought why they are not wondering why there is no one who can stay in the midnight shift?

Hair coloring tips

Well, I am currently obsessed coloring my hair. For almost 3 years I have dyed my hair 3 times by myself and I am fine doing it at home. I was influenced by best friend to color my hair and from then on, I started to get addicted to hair coloring. DISCLAIMER: I must admit that I am not a professional hairdresser and I have no formal education with salon education.

Boxed hair color products vs. salon colorists products

I am talking based on my experiences and knowledge about hair coloring from the box which is intended for home use and not a salon professional use. I have learned that in order to achieved a certain color you have to learn a professional hair color mixes while if you use hair coloring products from the box and you have dark hair or dark brown hair (like mine) you will not solely achieved your preferred hair color unless you pre-lightened it (bleaching process). Good thing to those who have light hair color because the hair color will effect nicely.

I must warn you that if you are planning to mix hair color chemicals and apply it to your hair, it might turn your hair in a bad shaped for you know a little about its mixtures unless you have been tutored with the right amount of mixtures which hair colorist professionals will rarely tell you.

If only I can find a good hair colorists who undergone professional training I would pay but sadly, I can’t find one and those who are colorist of celebrities costs too high for a simple lady like me. I choose to use the boxed hair color and do it on my own for free and if something bad happens or if it didn’t achieved what I want at least I do it alone and I have nobody to blame at all and did not pay any charge for the salon service.

Hair Colors

There are different components and types of hair colors. A professional hair colorists can define it. It is sometimes depends on you natural hair color. Bleaching your hair can damage your hair because it can be burned by the chemicals. So, you bleach your hair at your own risk and just to achieve your desired hair color especially if you have dark hair.

How to dye?

  1. Wash your hair at least one day before you color your hair, so that your hair produce natural oil which helps the hair color to bond even more.
  2. Comb your hair and divide your hair into sections.
  3. Test your hair color if you are allergic to the formula but if you are used to the hair color and got no chemical reaction, you can use it right away.
  4. Apply your hair color starting from bottom. Hairline: Nape to forehead.
  5. Follow the time. If you overdue hair color in your hair, it might damage your hair and can cause dryness.
  6. Wash your hair thoroughly.
  7. Don’t panic if you wash your hair on the second time and with another succeeding washes, your hair color washes off.
  8. Usage of Color Protect shampoos can help your hair color lasts long.
  9. Condition your hair.

If you have something to add here, please do share in my comment box. :)

Hair Treatments

Hair Treatments can nourish or damage hair depending on the degree of the procedure and the content of the formula. Always remember that there are time to stop treating your hair with chemicals. I encourage you to use organic treatments which also can save you spending a lot of money for your hair. The are types of hair which treatments basically depends on it. Do not undergo in a certain hair treatment which your hair really don’t need.

I have a gorgeous Asian straight locks and I get compliments with my hair. Some people always asked me if I straightened my hair and my usual reply is not. There are many treatments that can be availed in salons and there are alternative and organic way to treat hair. I remember when I was in high school, I curled my hair  and lose it when I am in college. Curls were hard maintain especially, I am not naturally born with curly hair. My hair breaks and tied on its own and it is difficult to brush it. On the other hand, I always hot oil my hair naturally with the use of coconut oil or mayonnaise (I know it’s messy but I guarantee you, it is effective!). I got into hair coloring treatments, I used boxed hair coloring kits and color my hair by myself or with the help of my best friend.

My hair is merely dried out but still in a fine condition, I just need to be cautious about my current obsession. I think I need to renew my hot oil treatments to retrieve my old locks.

I hope these tips and a basic knowledge primarily helped you. If you have questions or any suggestions,  my  comment box is always open. :) Take care always!

Etude House: Bubble hair color

Last Wednesday, (October 30) I decided to color my hair. I use Etude House’s Bubble hair color in #04 Red Wine. If you are updated to my blog I already colored my hair red using Revlon hair color, You can check my post here.My best friend influenced me on coloring my hair. First, Golden Blonde which I wear for a year. Second, RED early this year and now touched up again with color red. I am absolutely obsessed with dyeing my hair however I am cautious with what I do with my hair because I love my hair and I do not want to lose my natural straight hair because just because I over-processed it.

Etude House

This was the first time I use an Etude product and I am must say, It is good and they have quality products made for Asian girls out there like me. Since it is a Korean product, expect everything is in Korean language and you have to ask the beauty assistants on duty regarding on how to use the product and how it works. I bought a hair coloring product and an eyebrow pencil which are both good!

Bubble hair color: #04 Red Wine

This product was made for ladies who want to dye their own hair at home. This product made home hair coloring job easy unlike other hair color products which you need someone who knows how to dye hair to put it on your hair.

The Box composed of:
Pump Container
Liquid Solution
A conditioner
Pair of gloves
Plastic Cape

It will come out from the pump in foam and you will spread it to your hair liberally, I am sure that you will enjoy it doing this. You are like shampooing your hair. After putting everything, let it set for 30 minutes and wash it after.

Here’s the result:

After awhile…
On the first day, the color is so vibrant but as I wash my hair it loses its color and stained my towels. As expected, red hair colors can be washed off really fast. My hair became a bit dry when I wash it but as time passed by it softens because I use conditioner. You have to use a color protector shampoo and conditioner. I will explain everything about hair coloring on my next post.

The Verdict:

4 out of fivee

Beauty advice series

BEUTYBefore I dye my hair, I have researched, read more articles and study everything about it because I want best results (who doesn’t want best results for them self? NO ONE!) So, I have noticed that upon learning everything I need to know about hair coloring and how to care for it. After my last post about Etude House: Bubble Hair Color, I have decided
that after this post, I will share what I have learned about hair coloring and others. I came up also with an idea that I can throw a beauty advice series. I will consecutively write about beauty like, hair care, skin care, facial care and others these following weeks.

Research. Read. Learn.

beauty-products

I am a keen reader of lots of articles at any form (paper or online) and when I am interested with one thing or topic I am very optimistic to know everything about it. I consider it as adding up more knowledge and continuous learning out of school perimeters.

I research all the possible things, guides, products and advice across the internet and magazine articles available around me. I filter them and summarize what I think best. It is like sharing what I know by writing everything here on my blog.

Doing it, on my own

Trying on myself before I preach is one of my rules. I need to be sure on what I tell to you because I know the reason some people stumbled upon my blog because they need to know something good and sometimes, the answer on their questions.

I might rarely share some advice though I am sure that I am 99.9% sure on what I am saying and if you have follow up questions I will help you and answer you with everything I know about the topic.

So ladies, better stay tuned for my beauty series posts.

xoxo,

I recently dyed my hair red

Well, I must say, my hair is not red though I used Revlon hair color, RED 150. My best friend told me that she wanted to color her hair and since she have short hair and I too, we decided to share because there will be some let overs.

I have black hair like most of Asians. I am now hyped with hair dyeing though I don’t know how to bleach my hair so that when I use the hair color products it will surely dye my hair same with what is in the product picture. I have dyed my hair golden blonde before and I have used Revlon too so I trusted this product ever since because it is a good. However, I am using this product on my dark hair and I know it will be different from the product photo unless I bleached my hair.

If there’s someone out there who knows how to bleach hair. I will be thankful if you teach me. Thank you! By the way, I am planning to dye my hair again and I am planning to try  Etude House Red wine hair color. :)
